After completing a transaction, you will be given a link to 'your downloads', where you can download your tracks, or alternately you can click on the 'Your Downloads' link from the menu bar. Current downloads are presented under the 'Current Downloads' tab. Simply click on the 'download' button to start downloading the track. Alternately you can click on the 'Zip Files' tab to compile your tracks into a zip file which gives you the advantage of being able to download multiple tracks at once.

To activate your coupon click on the 'Your Downloads' button in the menu bar. You will now see a row of tabs. Click on 'COUPONS'. Here you will see a list of coupons that you have available. Click on the name of the coupon or the 'Activate' button to redeem your coupon. Your tracks will be automatically placed into your current downloads.
Q. What bit rate are the downloads?
The majority of downloads from Etopia Music are mp3s at the rate of 320kbps. Selected tracks are also available at the rate of 192kbps, with some tracks available as WAV's. We use industry standard software to encode and provide the highest quality.
Q. Why can I only download 2 tracks at once?
Most computers are only set up to handle downloading two tracks at once. If you have purchased more than two tracks or an album, you will usually have to wait until two downloads have been completed before downloading further tracks. Alternatively you can use our zip file system which will let you download all your tracks in multiple files.
Q. How long does each download take?
This depends on your computer and your internet connection. If you are on Broadband, a typical track should take no more than a couple of minutes. If you are using a dial up modem, a single track could take anything up to ten minutes.
Q. Why does my browser not show the payment site to be secure?
Once you enter the payment section of the site you are entering a secure area. The site uses a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) with 128 bit MD5 encryption. This is the industry standard for encrypting e-commerce transactions. The reason that your web browser may not show that the page is secure is because the site uses something called a 'frameset'. This means that the top part of the page is a separate file to the bottom part of the page. The result of this is that some browsers don't notice that you are visiting other pages other than the starting page - you can see this in the browser address bar. If the address is 'http://www.etopiamusic.com' and doesn't change at all no matter what page you go to within the Etopia site then your browser believes that you are solely on the EtopiaMusic.com start page. As a result when you go to the payment area of the site although the page you're on is encrypted and secure your web browser doesn't see this. If you are still worried about the page being unsecured then you can move out of the site's frameset by opening a link within the site in a new browser window or tab (right-click on the 'view basket' link and select 'open in new window' or middle-click on the link). Now when you go to the payment area you will see that it is indeed secure ad encrypted.

Once you have purchased or are given a voucher you will be sent a 'voucher code'. This is a 20 character unique code that represents your voucher. To use it simply place items into your shopping cart as normal, and when you get to the checkout enter the voucher code into the voucher code box. This will automatically deduct the value of the voucher from the value of the contents of your shopping cart. If your voucher is of greater value than the products in your cart then you retain the voucher but at the reduced amount. The voucher is valid until it's complete value is spent. If the value of the cart is higher than the value of the voucher then you simply pay the difference.
